Not My Imagination

OK, I have been procrastinating to blog about The Cranberries since Thursday. So I better not procrastinate any longer while the feeling is still fresh. Hee... I went to the concert with three good looking guys, Scott, his brother Dhameer, and Fitri. Orang lain yg berjanji mo jumpa aku di KL Sentral, orang lain yg sampai duluan. Hahaha. Jumpa dorang Scott di KL Sentral at around 6.30pm then we had no choice but to leave first as Scott and Dhameer belum beli tiket lagi n train Fitri from Shah Alam pun pukul 6.48pm. Gilak la mo tunggu sejam kot!! So kami cau duluan n Fitri sampai stadium at 8++pm. Imagine if we waited for him at KL Sentral!! Sampai2 sana, memang tiket RM113 sudah sold out. Tinggal Rock Zone ngan The Pit jak lagi. Tapi luck dorang lah last2 dapat jugak tiket from Celcom. Beli simcard Xpax RM10 with RM50 reload dapat dua tiket RM113 free!! Damn it!! Sudala dorang dapat seats yg better than ours! Kalau tau, nda payah beli tu tiket kami tu!!! Hahaha tapi ndapalah... Next time kalau ada concert n Celcom is one of the sponsors, aku namau beli tiket awal2 lagi. Lol.

The concert started timely. Maybe kalau ada lambat pun sikit jak dalam 10 minit jak lah. The opening song was Dreams, one of my favourite songs! In fact, one of EVERYBODY's favourite songs! :D I enjoyed myself there but rasa kureng skit sebab crowd yg lain asyik duduk jak. Boringnya. Bila keluar lagu2 macam Zombie, Animal Instinct, etc baru dorang bediri. Bidak oh. This is THE CRANBERRIES okay!! I was like, c'monnnnn...... Pfft... Hehe, ndapalah. Asalkan everyone enjoyed the concert as much as I did. :D

Funny thing is, I couldn't remember the last song they sang that night. Aku betul2 nda dapat ingat. But it was definitely an old song lah. Sampai sekarang aku nda dapat recall apa lagu last dorang. Aku dapat ingat exactly at what time the concert ended, but not the song. Pelik kan??? Haha. I suspect it was because I was not ready for the concert to end yet..... Tekejutnya aku bila Dolores bilang "This is our last song bla bla bla" What the??? It ended at 10.20pm!! I was expecting almost midnight!!! :( Habis jak tu lagu last, no goodbye, no thank you whatsoever apatah lagi encore, Dolores ran to the backstage and... THAT'S IT! THE END!!! Huwaaaaaa.........

I stayed for around 10 minutes in the stadium because I was hoping that they would get back on stage and perform the real real real last song....... But they never did.... :( Si Daffi yg beli tiket RM303 tu sampai menangis kunun sebab dorang cau gitu jak. Isk isk isk. Ah... Tapi ndapalah... Maybe they were on tight schedule or something. Hee... Yg pentingnya, I WAS THERE, I WAS PART OF IT. :D

Habis tu konsert, dorang Scott, Dhameer n Fitri balik sama2 naik Monorail, aku jumpa Daffi n his friends jap pastue I waited for Nasik to come pick me up.  Haha. Penat2 jak aku risau pasal camana mo balik sampai mintak tolong Nasik ambik. Padahal tu konsert habis even before 10.30pm. Bulih jak aku balik sendiri. Pfft... Tapi disebabkan sudah terlanjur mintak Nasik ambik, layan jak lahhhh... He took me to dinner n movie. We watched apa ah. Nda ingat pulak. Haha. Whatever lah.

Below are some of the photos taken before, during and after the concert. Sedih nda dapat ambik gambar close up Dolores n The Cranberries. Tapi ndapa, ada video di youtube!! Yay!!! :D :D :D By the way, today is my 27th birthday. Cough cough.

Here's the The Cranberries Live in Malaysia 2012 setlist. Apparently, the last four songs were the encore! Lol. And the last song was PROMISES. Hahahahahahaha macamana laaa aku boleh lupaaaa... Lolllll.....

Babi

Don't call me bebeh,
Because it sounds like you're calling me babi,
But if you wanna call her bebeh,
Then it's fine with me.

Maybe It's Too Late

Maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have
Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have

Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I'm so happy that you're mine

If I made you feel second best
Boy, I'm sorry I was blind

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind, sweet boy
You were always

Tell me that your sweet love hasn't died
Give me one more chance to keep you satisfied

Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

The Platonic Lovers

Remember how he scammed me on this day exactly one year ago? Remember that stupid and embarrassing post? Yeah, he punk'd me again today!!! I texted him this morning saying "Hey, sunday morning." Then he replied telling me bullship about him being at the hospital waiting to be operated. He told me that he has been sick since 2009 and had been meaning to tell me all this while. At first, memang la I thought that this must be another April Fool prank from him. Some more, he said he had been diagnosed with "KETUMBUHAN DI DADA". Hahahahahaha stupidddddd.... Tapi bila dia cakap "Wish me luck k. 8 jam ni. Me belum makan dari semalam sebab mau operation kan." Terus aku ntahlah, I somehow bought it? Paluiiii....... Cam besak la dia kasi ketawa aku lagi. Shipppppp....... Hahahahaha gulliblenya akuuuuuu urrgghhhh.... Hahaha. But... today's prank was not the same like last year's... It is obvious that there is nothing going on between us anymore now. I was the one who ended it anyway. We are friends now. Just friends. Or is this what people call platonic love? By the way, here's an interesting article about platonic relationship I stumbled upon. I think it truly describes the situation I am in right now. If there is a situation at all. Hahaha. Kalau aku rajin nanti aku translate. My favourite parts are in bold. :)

Love Beyond Body Physics
by Ragini Puri

In the film Yuva, Ajay Devgan, a practical man, emphatically explains to a visibly romantic Esha Deol that love is nothing but procreation. It is an urge to procreate, a form of sexual gratification, which just happens to be good for the survival of a species. This need for satisfaction of the physical or rather sexual urges comes veiled in the garb of an emotion called love. According to him, it was this physical or sexual attachment and not love that was actually responsible for the couplings that result in progeny and further the human race. So, love is nothing but procreation. Period.

But the idea of another type of love, as conceived by Plato, the Platonic love, has also been the subject of countless poems and books. In modern times, the terms platonic love and platonic relationship have come to mean a relationship between individuals of the opposite sex, marked by the absence of physical romance or sex. Ambrose Bierce, or Bitter Bierce as the world calls this American satirist, may define Platonic love as 'a fool's name for the affection between disability and a frost', but his philosophical treatment of love transcends a variety of theories of sex and gender.

A traditional and conservative society like ours looks on platonic relationships with suspecting eyes. It wonders whether in a friendship, physical attraction between the friends of opposite sex can be sidestepped, whether platonic relationships (love and friendship without sexual alliance) can exist between a man and a woman. What they fail to understand is that platonic love is actually the sublimation of sexual urges into other forms of desires and attraction. It is love that looks beyond physical bodies to pure thoughts and intellectual stimulation. Thyra Samter Winslow is right when she says, 'Platonic love is from the neck up.'

Platonic lovers are not impulsive lovers. They aren't physical, but are characterized by being more emotional and intellectual than passionate. Friendship or love of this type, like other relations, is based on the pleasure that is derived from each other's company, but the relationship here is predominated by thoughts and imagination. The love doesn't live outside but inside. Platonic love, in which the loved person is idealized, is part of a dream. With the platonic love, the people idealize one person in the fantasy of the thoughts, with feelings of love, in a very creative way. This love builds an illusion in a no-love world of disillusion and it is this love, which has inspired poets and artists of all time.

People may scoff at platonic lovers and compare them to inactive volcanoes, but such lovers do not condemn sexuality or the erotic, neither do they deny that platonic love is only possible outside sexual relations. Platonic love is actually a spiritual bond between two people of the opposite sex, wherein they are attracted to each other's mind. But the reason why platonic love or friendship can be difficult is plain genetics. In most of us, attraction to the opposite sex is genetically woven into our psyche. There's no way to avoid it. Friendship between the same sex can be relatively hassle-free, but one between opposite sex may be infused with sexual undercurrents. Nothing makes a romantic relationship more successful when the people involved are friends first, and it is easy to understand why platonic relations can be difficult to keep strictly platonic.

Love is a Laserquest?

Do you still feel younger than you thought you would by now
Or darling have you started feeling old yet?
Don't worry I'm sure that you're still breaking hearts
With the efficiency that only youth can harness
And do you still think love is a laserquest
Or do you take it all more seriously?
I've tried to ask you this in some daydreams that I've had
But you're always busy being make believe
And do you look into the mirror to remind yourself you're there
Or has somebody's goodnight kisses got that covered?
When I'm not being honest I pretend that you were just some lover
Now I can't think of air without thinking of you
I doubt that comes as a surprise
And I can't think of anything to dream about
I can't find anywhere to hide
And when I'm hanging on by the rings around my eyes
And I convince myself I need another
For a minute it gets easier to pretend that you were just some lover
When I'm pipe and slippers and rocking chair
Singing dreadful songs about summer
Well I've found a better method of pretending you were just some lover
Well I've found a better method of pretending you were just some lover

This song was posted on my FB timeline by Ally a long time ago. But I just noticed it today.  :(

Kuala Lumpur Vintage Festival 2012

I AM SO NOT GOING!!!

Aku OK

I hope I'll get used to this feeling soon. Yeah... Maybe I am not used to being single yet... Looking back, I have never really been single in my life. I mean, really really single as in not having any kind of relationship with any kind of guy. What I have now is only friendships, which I cherish and am so grateful for. I am not sure about how I really feel right now though. OK, yes I am feeling a bit lonely, but I really hope that what I am feeling at the moment is not some kind of a need of attention from some guy. That is the last thing I need right now. What I need now is to give myself some time and space. I am so not ready for any relationship right now. I WAS NOT ready. That was the reason why things didn't work out between me and Ally. Because I was impatient. I knew I was not ready, but I wanted it anyway. Degil kan. Nah sekarang rugi. Pfft. And I am still not ready now. It is however kind of sad to be reminded that I have nobody (of the opposite gender) to text with on a regular basis anymore now. Nobody's wondering about what I'm doing or whether I have eaten, bathed or whether my cat died or whatever. Nobody (of the opposite gender) cares anymore. But it will be very pathetic if I put my happiness on such silly things, right? I don't need to rely on those things to be happy. I am so much stronger than that. I have my friends who will always be there for me whenever I am feeling up or down. I am so grateful to have them in my life. Not forgetting, my sisters and also my mom. :) I really really really miss them. Losing Nasik (again) makes me appreciate other people in my life more. So it is not a bad thing. Having him in my life pun selama ni selalu buat aku sakit hati n otak jak pun. I am not saying that he had never made me happy or never done anything good to and for me. I was always happy when he was with me. The problem was, ONLY when he was with me. When we were not together, I was always suspicious, I never trusted him, I was always worried. And I was right all along. The suspicion and trust issues were NEVER baseless. There was a reason why I felt that way all this while. Huh. When am I ever going to stop talking about him? Entahlah. He was and maybe still is a major part of my life. He is the reason why I am where I am right now after all, right? If not because of what he had done, I wouldn't have quit Esmerk at the time I did, I wouldn't have gone back to KK at the time I did, I wouldn't have met Ally at the time I did, and maybe,  just maybe, my friendship with Faezah would've never developed to the level it's at right now. And if all that had never occurred at the time and place they should've had, I might have never found out that Nasik is still the man he was. If anyone could call him a man at all. Thank you Allah. I am so thankful. Syukur alhamdulillah, aku OK.
